Dr. Michael DeSanti, Sr.

Dr. Michael DeSanti, Sr. was raised in Bayside, Queens, New York. After graduating from Mater Christi High School in 1965, he attended the City College of New York on a New York State Regents Scholarship. In 1973, he completed his D.D.S. degree at New York University School of Dentistry. Upon graduating, Dr. DeSanti served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana for two years.

In 1975, Dr. DeSanti relocated to the Capital District to begin his career in private practice. Since that time, he practiced general dentistry at the same Sand Creek Road location. He is a Life Member of the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association.

As an active member of the Third District Dental Society of New York, he served as the Chairman of the Albany Dental Peer Review Committee for 25 years. He was the recipient of the Feltman-Hunn Award for service to the Third District.

Dr. DeSanti retired from the dental practice in 2013. He currently lives in Loudonville with his wife, Jackie. They are active parishioners at St. Pius X Church. He is an avid golfer as a member of Shaker Ridge Country Club since 1984, where he has served on the Board of Governors and other committees.
